Montautre is located in the Limousin, with its beautiful landscapes,interchanging between forest, rolling hills and deep valley. A land rich in minerals, pure rivers and hundreds of lakes, makes it a perfect place to come and relax.

Chateau de Montautre is a 15th century chateaus which has always been in the same family since that time. 8 years ago the present owners fell in love with this property and passionately restored it into a magically special bed and breakfast and Gites. The 190 m2 have been tastefully restored into a cozy 8 person home. The house is well insulated making it perfect for the winter holidays as well as for the summer. The house has three bedrooms with 3 beds of 160 x 2m and an attic with three single alcove beds. The house has two fully equipped bathrooms and one extra toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped including dish washer and use of washing machine is possible at the chateau, at an extra charge. Fire wood can be purchased for a small fee, and a small extra charge will be added during the winter months for extra heating. The place is perfect for children because it is safe and the various animals on the grounds is a great attraction; horses, highland cattle, chickens, cats and two enthusiastic border collies. There is also a tree house in the forest the kids can discover! The house is rented per week from Sat. 17:00 until Sat. 10:00. Sheets and towels are not included in the price but can be for an additional fee. Guests have access to the pool, “petanque”court, forest, lakes, barbeque, mountain bikes and all of the chateau grounds.
